💻 Dell Rapids IT Department – Technology Readiness for 2025–2026
The Dell Rapids IT Department, led by Jeff Krumm, continues to manage over 1,500 devices for teachers and students, as well as hundreds of learning apps and software packages, across the district. Our mission remains focused on equipping educators and staff with the tools they need to deliver exceptional learning experiences.

Acceptable Use Policy
Access the Acceptable Use Policy via the link on this page. It outlines the essential goals, guidelines, and expectations for the use of district technology by staff and students.
Student Device Insurance
Decide whether to enroll in the district’s optional student device insurance program by logging into your https://www.myschoolbucks.com.
Annual Chromebook insurance: \$40 per student

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
If you plan to use a personal device at school, complete the Mobile Device Registration form available on this page and return it to the Tech Office.
Report Tech Issues
All technology-related issues should be reported directly to the district Tech Office.
🆕 New Tech Highlights for 2025–2026
Recent updates and initiatives include:
NAEP 2025 Field Test Integration
Dell Rapids School District has been selected to participate in the NAEP 2025 Field Test using district devices.
Chromebooks have been verified for app installation and readiness.
New District Webpage and School App
In collaboration with Apptegy, the Dell Rapids School District is launching a unified communication platform.
This initiative consolidates school news, calendars, lunch menus, and announcements into a single branded mobile app.
Features include automatic two-way language translation, ensuring inclusive communication for our diverse community.
Staff can now manage the website, app, and social media from one platform, saving time and improving communication quality.
The platform also makes it easier to showcase student achievements, building school pride and strengthening community trust.
New Phone System
Over the summer, the district partnered with Goldenwest Communications to install a new hosted phone system.
More than 120 new phones were installed across classrooms, shops, offices, and administrative areas.
The system is performing well, and we’re proud to work with our local Goldenwest team.
New Servers
The district refreshed its server hosts this summer to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
