Attention Students: You must have a positive balance, enough money in your account to cover any extras you want, and an appetite. Money must be brought to your favorite high school secretary before 10:30am (really, she would accept the money anytime of the day, she’s nice like that) each day. Please don’t give money to the cashiers in the lunch line. They have enough to worry about!
To all licensed high school drivers: We have made great efforts to add parking spots in the school’s parking lots. Please use them! Residents that live near the school do not receive their mail because cars continue to park in front of their mailboxes. Please, do not park in front of or near mailboxes! Also, students who drive to school and park in the north parking lot, please be careful while driving into the parking lot. Be aware of others, not only in the parking lot but also in life. Know your surroundings! If you have any questions, please see Dept. Walton.
Congratulations to the Dell Rapids FCCLA Chapter who just returned from the state Leadership Conference! The chapter received a Gold Merit Award for meeting the criteria for their overall accomplishments during the year! They received a Bronze rating on their participation in the projects for the State Leadership Teams. Ella Story and Cara Berg received a Gold rating on their Professional Presentation project and Kaitlyn Bisson and Zadie Frederiksen also received a Gold on their Sports Nutrition project. Kaitlyn and Zadie also received a Top Superior and were 1 point away from qualifying for national competition in their event! They were also informed that the chapter received a grant from the SD Ag Foundation for a community service project at the Dell Rapids Public Library. Congratulations on a job well done!

SENIORS: You can buy your class composite picture of the graduating class of 2025 now while supplies last! A 5x7 picture is only $5 and an 8x10 picture is $10. Please stop by the high school office if you are interested in purchasing a senior composite.
ALSO: Seniors, please stop by the high school office and pay for your graduation flowers. Each flower is $4 each.
DRIVER EDUCATION 2025
Driver Education for the summer of 2025 will take place during the months of May-August. The classroom portion is scheduled for May 19-22 from 8:00am-4:00 pm daily. Attendance for each of these days and times is mandatory; any excessive absence will result in removal from the class. The fee for the Driver Education program is $250 for in-district students.
Each student will sign up for a specific driving block of time to complete the Behind-the-Wheel portion of Driver Education. Drivers Ed registration will be sent out April 1 with payment due by April 28. To secure a spot for your student; payment may be submitted online (My School Bucks) or by check or cash. Students are asked to check their summer schedules very carefully for any vacations, camps, retreats etc. that may conflict with either the classroom or driving portion of Driver Education before signing up.
Students who have completed 7th Grade and will by 14 years old on or before October 1, 2025, will be allowed to sign up for Driver Education.If you have any questions, please call 428-5473 ext. 402.
The Dell Rapids Booster Club Individual Athletic Camp Scholarship form is available in the office. The Booter Club will award a $75 scholarship to the following student athlete for participating in an approved athletic sport camp. This scholarship in contingent upon the completion and submission of this form, the approval of the Dell Rapids Booster Club and the actual participation of the student in the specific camp. The Booster Club scholarship is available to athletes entering the 9th-12th grade and participating in a sport in the upcoming school year. The due date for these forms is June 1st and can be turned into Eve. No late forms will be accepted.

The Dell Rapids Baseball Association is looking for umpires for the upcoming 10U and 12U youth baseball season. Payment is $30/game for home plate and $20/game for bases. If you are 13 or older and have an interest, sign up on the Dell Rapids baseball website, dellrapidsbaseball.com
