Congratulations to the following Quarrier wrestlers on qualifying for the SDHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls. Josie, Breck, Camden, and Charlie will all represent the Quarriers with pride at the Premier Center on February 26-28. Go Quarriers!

DRHS Spanish 3 class learned about the organization Caminando Juntos, ate at Azteca restaurant, and visited Sonia Sotomayor immersion elementary school today. Students spoke Spanish the entire field trip! Bien hecho, estudiantes!

During lunch today, IMPACT members wrote Valentine's Day cards for teachers across the district as a thanks for all their hard work this school year!

On February 12th, we will send choral students to Brookings to participate in the High School Festival of Song and the Elementary Festival Honor Choir. The following students will represent the Quarriers: Dylan, Charlie, Dylan, Leighton, Asher, Hannah, Grace, Austyn, Alex, Paislee, Jocelyn, Jacob, Max, Violet, and Elenaor! Go Quarriers!

Congratulations to Kassidee and her family on signing with Midland University to further her education and play basketball! We are excited for your future as a Warrior! Go Quarriers!

Shoutout to the incredible athletes and supporters who made the Dell Rapids High School 2nd Annual Powerlifting Meet a success with over 90 area lifters participating! Our Quarriers showed up strong, and multiple lifters took home some hardware.💪🏼 A special thank-you goes to Coach Libby Loosebrock, who volunteers her time and energy to organize and coach the Dell Rapids Powerlifting Program. Your commitment to these athletes and to building a positive, competitive program does not go unnoticed.

Happy National School Counselors Week! 🧡 This week we proudly celebrate the incredible counselors who make a difference in students’ lives every single day — especially DRHS’s own Mrs. Ruesink! Mrs. Ruesink is a constant source of support and encouragement for our students and staff. Thank you, Mrs. Ruesink, for all you do for our students and our school community. We appreciate you today and every day!

National Signing Day started off with a bang this morning and ended with SIX more Quarriers signing today after school! Congratulations to Karson, Ben, Devin, Drake, Kenny, and Ryan for taking the next step in your academic and athletic careers. We now have an Eagle, Trojans, Reivers, Lancer, Tiger, and a Bearcat! Congratulations to you and your families! Go QUARRIERS!

IMPACT had a wonderful time serving the Humane Society in Sioux Falls today!

Today, we celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day! Our Quarriers have achieved the following accomplishments in the 2025-2026 school year!
-State Volleyball Third Place
-State Cross Country Qualifier - 17th Place
-Competitive Cheer 5th Place
-Soccer State Tournament Qualifiers
-The Basketball team is 11-5 and the second seed in Region 3 A.
-Wrestlers have taken home medals from multiple events and will participate in the Region Tournament on February 19th.
-Powerlifters will be at home on Saturday

We look forward to an exciting finish for our winter sports, and the excitement is building for the spring season!

We are thankful for all of our female Quarrier student-athletes and coaches!

Congratulations to Tollin and his family on punching his ticket to the next level! Tollin will attend McKendree University and will powerlift for the Bearcats! Go Quarriers!

On February 5th, we have an outstanding evening of basketball against Tri-Valley. We will have Senior Night before the girls' and boys' games to honor our senior student-athletes. It is also jersey and autograph night. Check out the image for more information. Elementary parents/guardians, on such a fun-filled night, we would appreciate your support in making sure your students are seated and watching the game. Elementary students should be with their parents/guardians at all home games. We are excited to host such a special event and look forward to seeing you there! Go Quarriers!

The Dell Rapids Girls Basketball game against Sioux Valley is rescheduled to February 16th. C Team at 5 PM with JV and Varsity to follow.

Dell Rapids School District is closed on January 23rd. The following Quarrier activities are canceled or rescheduled.

MS Boys Basketball v. Baltic - This game is canceled. It will not be rescheduled.

HS Girls Basketball v. Sioux Valley - This game will be rescheduled. Reschedule date is TBD.

Congratulations to Carson Maeschen and the Maeschen family on signing to attend Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa! Carson plans to study pre-med and play football for the Red Raiders!

The Dell Rapids Jazz Band and Dell Rapids Choral program will not perform at Christmas at the Dells due to forecasted weather..
